Sulfaro – Made in Melbourne Sale – Design, Comfort and Quality. Support Australian Industry and Local Manufacturing.

With the current situation occurring worldwide with the Coronavirus COVID-19 it really is time to consider what sort of world we will be looking at post lockdown. It’s time to consider Australian jobs, Australian Industry. With so many people being laid off we really need to support our local manufacturing industry. Buy Australian, buy local – buy Sulfaro – at the ‘Made in Melbourne’ Sale, now on.

Sulfaro are a Melbourne based Bespoke furniture manufacturer. All furniture is hand crafted, hand built, hand finished in a modern factory/studio workshop. Skilled and highly trained frame makers, upholsterers, pattern and template makers, seamstresses and designers create high quality comfortable and luxurious furniture. Sulfaro Furniture employ apprentices and foster work experience programs to train and encourage young Australians to be passionate, competent and proud of a career in the Australian furniture manufacturing industry – operating at the highest levels of professionalism and quality.

For many years now major retailers have imported cheap, robotically manufactured upholstered furniture and dining settings from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and other Third World nations. Cheap labour was always the cry, and the result? Cheap furniture. What people did not realise is that the componentry was all low value – fabrics, framing, webbing, springs. The quality was – and still is – poor. Often this type of furniture might last only 5 years maximum before it needs to be replaced. It is simply very poor value for money.

But the other consideration is the slow closing of much of Australia’s manufacturing industry and its subsequent outsourcing to Asia. The obvious example is the Motor Industry. Now the lack of local industry is going to really impact on unemployment levels post COVID-19. And as such it really is time to support local industry and to kick start Australian industry and manufacturing into the new millennium.

Businesses like Sulfaro create beautiful high quality and luxurious product. Superb fabrics, exquisite design and a whole world of real choice. Modern and Contemporary as well as pure Classics. A genuine family business, the Sulfaro’s have been manufacturing quality furniture, offering impeccable design and Employing Australians since 1963.
