The Beginnings
60 years ago this year the late Nunzio Sulfaro began creating elegant, high quality furniture here in Melbourne. Nunzio was a second generation furniture maker and upholsterer having been classically trained in the fine art of furniture making in Europe. Today, sixty years on, his son Santo Sulfaro, a third generation furniture maker, follows and remains true to the same traditions. Handcrafted, hand-built furniture, lovingly crafted in our modern Melbourne studios and workshop. Classically beautiful, yet modern and stylish – Sulfaro is furniture designed for today – visually stunning, absolutely comfortable.

The Love Affair
At Sulfaro we love what we do. Our staff of gifted Artisans create exquisite furniture for your home – each piece is individually crafted and finished with a genuine care and love of our art – ‘the art of furniture’. As a Sulfaro customer you have the option of personally selecting the fabrics or leathers you desire and prefer for your new furniture. Choose from the fabulous collection we have gathered from Australia’s and the world’s premium fabric houses and fabric suppliers. Enjoy the tactile feel, the colours, the materials available.
