All Sulfaro furniture is created onsite at our Mitcham studios and workshop located directly behind our showrooms. We utilise the very best in materials, the finest of fabrics and leathers, eucalypt hardwoods (F17 Victorian Ash), stainless steel springs, first grade memory foam – all Australian materials and components whenever and wherever possible. The Sulfaro family business was established in 1963 by the late Nunzio Sulfaro, the family Patriarch.
Nunzio himself was the son of a Master Craftsman, he emigrated to Australia at that time to begin a new life, settling in Melbourne where he commenced to introduce the true ‘art of furniture making’ to a very receptive market. His designs, his furniture was sought after and the business quickly grew.
Today his son, Santo Sulfaro, continues the family tradition. As Managing Director Santo remains ‘hands on’ – supervising the creation and completion of all Sulfaro furniture. Sulfaro today remain a 100% family owned Australian business.
