Most furniture offered for sale in Australia today is mass produced offshore. Often some claims are made to being Australian Made but this simply isn’t the case. Modular furniture components are shipped, pre-manufactured to the retailers who then assemble the items to claim Australian Made status. The truth is these are ‘cookie cutter’ replicas made in Asia using inferior materials (timbers, fabrics). Often the furniture is robotically manufactured.
