The Sulfaro studios and workshop are located behind the company’s showrooms in Mitcham, Melbourne. Master Craftsman, Santo Sulfaro, the son of the late Nunzio Sulfaro, manages the full manufacturing process, supervising a highly skilled team of Artisans and Tradesmen and Tradeswomen in producing the very best, the finest in upholstered furniture and accessories. It is furniture that will last a lifetime and, as such, all workmanship is guaranteed for a lifetime. 

Australian Made – 100% 

Made in Australia means the standards applied are far superior to those of most imported furniture. The reality is that the vast majority of the upholstered furniture in Australia – lounge suites, sofas and armchairs is imported from Asia. Factory production lines replicate the same designs using robotic equipment and unskilled labour. Materials are often sub-standard, basically to meet budget requirements. It’s a ‘cookie cutter’ methodology leaving little or no room for individual flair, vision and, ultimately, offering a very reduced choice. 

Australian Made at Sulfaro means the item of furniture is individually created from conception and design through to the finished piece of furniture. Framing is first grade Australian hardwood with stainless steel springs and selected premium cushioning, then combined with selected fabrics or fine leathers to create absolute comfort and real luxury.

Sulfaro also offer an exclusive selection of Dining Settings – finely polished wooden tables with a range of decorative and functional table tops – glass, ceramics, marble, metallic and, of course, finely polished timber. Tables are presented with handcrafted, sturdy dining chairs to match with a full selection available for your consideration – all finished in durable, long wearing fine fabrics or leathers as you determine. Dining tables range from fully extendable large tables designed to seat 12-16 people through to more compact units to sit 4-6 people suitable for the kitchen, breakfast nook, sunroom or enclosed patio.
