Camelot with Bullion Fringe

The Camelot with Bullion Fringe is a very popular sofa design. truly elegant, regal, it is rich in gold and black lustre fabric with scatter cushions and a low fully cushioned back. Here we have teamed it with a matching ottoman and some selected ornaments – Jaguar, elephants, a beautiful Rococo side table and a simply gorgeous Louis XIV occasional chair in a luxurious black velvet fabric set off with 24 carat gold gilt edged framing and legs. By way of contrast, the Studio T lay-out and design here offers a very contemporary, comfortable look that would lift any modern apartment into a new realm of comfort, space and luxury.

Pictured here we have a two and a half seater sofa in a soft grey herringbone textured style fabric. It is matched with a tub chair in navy blue velvet, an elegant modern tripod lamp with linen shade, timber and glass coffee table and an ivory rug.

Lawrence

Our last selection is the Lawrence. Pictured here in a rich Ivory Brocade patterned fabric, highlighted with contrasting striped cushions and a simple elegant glass and metallic coffee table, the setting sits upon a refined blue and cream embroidered rug. A matching credenza with gold etched gilt lamps and equine statue completes this stunning vista.

The Lawrence is a traditional elegant style of sofa featuring detailed pattern matching, soft pleated arms and skirt with cord trim. A luxurious, high back comfortable piece of furniture. The first of our collections is our Signature Selection. Sulfaro in our minds is in fact the signature of real European Design and Elegance. It was Nunzio Sulfaro, our patriarch who first made selections on what really did represent the true style and refinement found in those key pieces that represent our Signature Selection. It is now his son Santo that continues this tradition. Here is our first Signature Series Edition. Furniture trends for 2018-19 – A world of colour

This week let’s take a look at the trends reflected through two major European Furniture Expos – The IMM Cologne show and the Salone del Mobile Milano event, on which we have already reported..

The Lawrence Sofa and Chairs

Let’s start with Cologne and trends in living room design. It’s colour, colour and more colour – a veritable explosion of vibrant hues through all the various trade halls of this famous annual European furniture fair. Sofas, armchairs, occasional chairs and dining chairs were all presented in a wide range of strong living colours, and at this event extended to the tables and lighting. It’s almost exotic, it’s expressive and it’s individual.

It’s often the world of high fashion that defines the direction and tone of the choices made to dress furniture. One bright exuberant piece of furniture can lift a whole room.

Bright and sunny yellows as well as pastel yellows captured the eye continually whilst touring the exhibition halls in Cologne. Designers added accessories in burnt orange, combined with sideboard pads in lush grass green. Greens of all hues were featured by many designers. Pantone – the colour standard – had selected a bright living yellow green as its colour of the year for 2017. This year 2018 the colour selected is Ultra Violet.

The salons of Vienna at the turn of the 20th Century inspired a trend many see continuing into 2018-19 – a combination of deep pine green, Bordeaux red, mustard yellow and royal blue.

Dark woods, brass (replacing copper) with rich satin gold – the brass being brushed, and velvets – all creating a sumptuous splendour in interior design.
