It is not ‘assembled’ here having been manufactured elsewhere, it is handbuilt here in our Mitcham premises. All aspects of its creation occur here. Design, patterns, templates, framing, springs, cushioning and fabric – a Sulfaro sofa is individually crafted by our skilled upholsterers, seamstresses and artisans. Sulfaro, yes it’s truly ‘Australian made’. Our showrooms are open for inspection 7 days per week. From Monday to Saturday we are open from 10am until 5pm. On Sundays we are open from 11am until 4pm.

All Sulfaro Furniture is manufactured right here in Melbourne by our experienced tradesmen and artisans at our fully equipped Mitcham premises. From the initial template designs through to dressing each piece in selected fabrics – it all happens here in Melbourne. We do not offer cheap imports or cut corners on materials, labour or finesse.

The Sulfaro team is steeped in the traditional methodologies handed down through generations of artisans and craftsmen in Europe. In 1962 family patriarch Nunzio Sulfaro arrived from Italy determined to introduce true European quality, comfort and design to his new adopted homeland. To this day that tradition continues with both Nunzio and his son Santo personally overseeing and inspecting each piece of furniture created in their Mitcham workshop.
