It’s a tradition at Sulfaro that commenced in the early 1960’s when family Patriarch, Nunzio Sulfaro, arrived from Italy and began to produce wonderful, bespoke furniture with the assistance of his wife Francesca. Together they created and built a family business that benefitted from Nunzio’s classical furniture making training. For many years the Sulfaro team has now included locally trained Artisans and Professionals who have again benefitted from the traditional methods of European furniture making imparted to them by Master Craftsmen, Nunzio Sulfaro, and now his son, Santo Sulfaro, the firm’s current Managing Director. Santo maintains a hands-on role and manages the full creative process in manufacturing of all Sulfaro furniture at the Mitcham facility. 

There is a level of care whereby each individual piece of furniture is prepared using the same rigid and exacting procedures first introduced by Nunzio Sulfaro nearly sixty years ago.

Tables to suit 12-16 people or more compact models designed for 4-6 people are all matched with hand crafted, sturdy Sulfaro dining chairs finished in selected fabrics or fine leathers.

Sulfaro showrooms are located at 650-652 Whitehorse Road, Mitcham, corner Cochrane Street, approximately one kilometre west of the Ringwood off ramps on Eastlink. There is ample off-street parking available.

Sulfaro follow the Covid 19 protocols as recommended by the State Government of Victoria. You will be required to sign in, either via the Services Victoria QR code or manually sign in. It is required that all visitors to the Sulfaro showrooms must produce their vaccination certificate. This is a Victorian State Government Health Department requirement.
