At Sulfaro all furniture is created exclusively in-house, in our modern studios and workshop located at the rear of our extensive showrooms in Mitcham (to the east of Melbourne). There is no outsourcing or reconfiguring of cheaper modular components imported from overseas. All furniture is wholly and completely created and finished in our facility by our team of Artisans, Tradespeople and Craftsmen and women. From templates through to the finished article – our furniture is wholly and completely 100% Australian made.

The Sulfaro creative process is overseen and masterminded by Santo Sulfaro, the Owner and Managing Director of the business. Santo is a Master Craftsman, expert in the art of furniture making, having been trained by his late father, Nunzio Sulfaro. Nunzio was classically trained in the European style of furniture making, with skills passed down over generations.

Each piece of Sulfaro furniture – sofas, armchairs, occasional chairs, recliners, ottomans and dining settings – is individually crafted and completed under Santo’s watchful gaze. Santo maintains a hands-on role in the creation and production of all Sulfaro furniture.
